Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as children of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made to be sharers in her mission ( Catechism of the Catholic Church 1213)
Registered parishioners seeking baptism for their child aged 7 and under must complete a Baptism Prep Course with Deacon Chad Martin. Classes are held monthly on the First Saturday at 10AM in the Providence House. Registration for classes is below.
Parents who desire to have their child baptized in the church must be practicing Catholics committed to the responsibility of raising their child in the Faith.
Children over the age of seven must enroll in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Children. Please contact the office at 410-326-3535 with questions.
